Monroe MI sales fliers Jan. 29

Even if you aren’t hosting a Super Bowl party, this week is a great time to find party food on sale. You can always keep the items in the freezer or pantry for the Daytona 500 or a birthday celebration (I suggest marking the packages and telling family members “hands off” as needed).

Here are the sales fliers that were in my home-delivery edition of The Monroe Evening News today (I live in the 48162 zip code):

Wal-Mart (sale starts Sunday) has Game Time specials that include DiGiorno 12-inch frozen pizza for $3.97 and a Red Baron pizza for $3.33. (this is cheaper than a $5 pickup pizza). $24 will get your choice of a George Foreman grill, a Presto Kitchen Kettle cooker or a Crock-Pot slow cooker with little dipper.
Busch’s Fresh Food market (sale starts Monday) will have buy one get one free Garden Fresh salsa, 7-Up 2-liters on 10 for $10, Bob Evans brats at $3.49 and Brook’s chili beans at four for $3. The featured recipe is Italian style chicken and orzo.
Staples (sale starts Sunday) has a 4GB flash drive for $14.99. Easy Rebate on 10-ream case of paper. Assorted lunch bags on sale. Several shredders on sale. Bundle deals on tax and accounting software.
Rite Aid (sale starts Sunday) will have Kelloggs’ Special K on two for $5 (there are coupons in circulation). Coupon in flier to get three Pepsi 12-packs for $8.99, which is a stock-up price in my experience. Dawn dish soap for 88 cents. Buy one get second one free on classroom Valentine sets (good deal since many of them are already in the $2 range.) Buy an iTunes $25 gift card (someone’s Valentine gift?) and get a $5 Rite Aid gift card free.

This weekend’s editions of The Monroe Evening News and Bedford Now also have the 2010 Autos special section. You will find discounts and offers on auto service and vehicle insurance among the advertisements.
