Make Your Own Homemade Laundry Detergent

Jen from Frugal Upstate shares her recipe to make her own homemade laundry detergent. You just need borax, washing soda and soap. If you can’t find washing soda locally, you can order it online here:
All Natural Washing Soda

Here’s the Homemade Laundry Detergent Recipe:

1 bar of soap
1/2 cup of washing soda
1/2 cup of borax

Grate the soap either by hand, or by putting it into the food processor. If you are using the food processor, cut it up in chunks first. Combine it with your washing soda and borax and you’re done.

To use it add 1 TBSP of your laundry detergent to each load of laundry.
Cost is about 7 cents per load of laundry.
